Playing With Colourful Makeup

Playing With Colourful Makeup

It is officially Spring! Not long till the end of Lockdown which means celebration time. So what better way to celebrate than to ramp up your look with some colourful makeup.

Pink, red and orange are just a few colours that look incredible on women with darker skin tones. Whether it is your eyes, cheeks or lips - or all three, a pop of colour is a perfect pick me up.

Eyes

Pat McGrath Divine Rose Luxe Quad: Eternal Eden palette is perfect for those that love the monochromatic eye look. It's a gorgeous quad with a combination of matte and metallic shimmers. Although all pink tones, there are a range of beautiful colour depths with a colour shift pink to gold (Pink Mystique) and the stunning Forbidden Fruit (rich pink bronze metallic shade) which is a personal favourite!

The Sleek Lucid Dreams Eyeshadow Palette is an affordable way to ease yourself into colour. On darker skin, the 12 matte shades vary from barely there to bright and bold, whilst the six shimmer shades can either be applied as a subtle wash, a topper or layered for intense shine. All shadows work best when applied using (clean) fingers and remember to use a primer for longevity.

Cheeks

Milani’s blushers can range from being very pigmented to appearing more glowy on deeper skin tones... but either way they look beautiful. Their highlighters can be blended into your skin to give that glow from within, without being too glittery.

Aeva Beauty have a selection of delicious highlighters in their arsenal. There is a red highlighter called Ruby Blush that can be used as a blush or highlighter. There is also one called Pink Persuasion which is a pink/purple/blue afterglow reflective highlighter.
