Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush

I was curious about Clinique’s new Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush. There are a lot of new facial brushes emerging on the market, which suggests that people are starting to incorporate them into their skin cleansing routine. Maybe I was slow to catch onto the phenomenon, but I couldn’t see how a machine could clean my face better than my own hands.

However the Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is a really good, nifty little machine that I’d struggle to revert from using. Firstly, the brush was very easy to set up. It was already charged and the battery charge lasted for a surprisingly long time. The actual charger is trouble-free to use too and works quickly. There’s a protective plastic head included for the bristles of the brush which keeps them clean and in shape too.

The ‘sonic movement’ provides a deep cleanse with two types of bristles that are soft and non-abrasive. When the brush is switched on, it vibrates quickly and I was expecting the brush to feel rough on my face, however it is reassuringly gentle. I personally didn’t feel much difference, if at all any, between the two types of bristles but think that the dual colouring looks quite stylish. Due to the ‘sonic’ nature, I was half-expecting water to be splashed everywhere but this brush is neat and simple to use.

My skin felt soft and extremely clean after usage, and my pores were the clearest they have felt in a while. I don’t have any blackheads to test this out on but because it did such a great job on clearing and smoothing pores, I feel that it would be excellent for gradually getting rid of blackheads too. I felt that my make-up had a better base because my t-zone was less oily and my face was noticeably smoother. Moisturiser also applied better and I felt that it could sink past my skin even more than usual. After a week of usage, I could see a visible difference in the radiance of my skin, and my uneven skin-tone was looking slightly corrected.

The only drawback of this product is that it’s pricey, but it is cheaper than comparative ones on the market and Clinique have largely justified the price with the sheer quality, let alone outstanding performance the brush gives. My face was purified and cleansed thoroughly so the brush does live up to its claims. It would make a great addition to a skin’s daily regime without consuming too much time – it’s recommended that you use this for up to a minute each day.

The Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush is priced at £79.99 and I wholly recommend it for yourself or to give to someone special.
