I think it’s very clear what a huge fan of Fresh products I am. Their rich and gentle products really appeal to my skin. Previously I have tried out their face masks but not their cleansers so I was keen to try out the Soy Face Cleanser that I picked up at one of their press days. Soy came to prominence in the 90s and the Soy Collection was Fresh Beauty’s first venture into skincare. The collection contains of an Exfoliant, Makeup Remover and Cleanser.
This product is for all skin types (a statement that I have always been sceptical about) and is an extra-gentle gel cleanser that claims to wipe away everyday impurities and makeup – even mascara – without stripping your skin of essential moisture. It contains Amino Acid-rich Soy Proteins, Rosewater, Calming Cucumber Extract and Borage Seed Oil. It also has a multi-tasking formula that works to tone, soothe and soften your skin for a radiant, healthy-looking complexion.
For a start I only used this product in the mornings and never in the evening so I cannot vouch for whether it removes your makeup effectively. It is a very nice cleanser, it cleanses your face well and does not leave it taut. It is pretty much what I would expect from a gel cleanser; it get rid of any excessive oil but it is not harsh or irritating like some cleansers can be. The smell is very inoffensive as it is very neutral and to be honest I found it to be quite bland. I liked this product a lot but I cannot say that I love it and also I am not sure if it is worth the price tag. I think I would rather pick up a cleanser specifically made for my skin type.
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is priced at £11.50 and £30.00.
