Make Me Beautiful is a makeup range which is selling in Next. It is surprisingly extensive and affordable, and so I was eager to see how well the products performed. I tried their Sheer Chubby Stick, which is described by the brand as a rich colour which glides on to drench lips in colour with a glossy finish. Enriched with a blend of natural plant waxes and oils to help moisturise lips.
I tried shade Cherry Red, which is a bright, post-box, classic red. The Sheer Chubby Stick comes in the format of a twistable, chubby pencil with a slightly tapered tip. The idea of this chubby stick is to provide your lips with a bout of gloss and wash of colour as and when required, and so the chubby stick is designed to be convenient for taking around on the go. The packaging is fun and the exterior of each chubby stick takes the colour of its respective shade, with a shiny silver lid for added glitz.
The tube feels heavy in the palm and therefore of a high quality. The gloss provided from is only moderately glossy and is non-sticky, and provides your lips with a very high shine. There’s no glitter to the finish of the product, and so the shine of the finish is a sophisticated one. The longevity is very good when you consider the nature of the product; lasting for a decent few hours before a touch-up is required. I can feel the presence of the natural waxes and oils, and this product moisturises and hydrates your lips very well.
Overall, I would recommend this product k for those who want a cheaper alternative to the more costly alternatives on the market, yet without any compromise on finish, colour, or overall aesthetics.
Make Me Beautiful Sheer Chubby Stick is priced at £8.00
