Whether I’m wearing makeup or not, lip balms are an essential part of my beauty regime to maintain soft, moisturised, chap-free lips. Palmer’s have brought out a new range of balms in a cute pod-like container with a flip-top. They call it the FlipBalm but what’s inside is even more delightful than the packaging. These new balms contain the goodness of cocoa butter, shea butter and vitamin E each with its own signature flavour. Palmer’s FlipBalms are perfect to keep your peckers plush.
Palmer’s FlipBalm comes in three exotic fruity flavours: creamy coconut, ripe mango and juicy watermelon. They are colourless with the same consistency, but their fragrance lives up to their fruity names. The creamy coconut contains raw coconut, while the ripe mango has raw mango extract and the watermelon has raw watermelon extract. Each balm bears the same directions and work in the same way. Plus they are free from parabens, phthalates, petrolatum and gluten and promise eight hours moisture. It’s entirely up to each person’s fruity preference which one to choose.
I’ve tried all three lip balms over the summer months and my favourite is the creamy coconut for the subtle coconut fragrance. They glide on easily and delivered instant moisture that were long lasting; however I would say that eight hours is stretching it. The gorgeous butters they are made from caused them to melt during the summer months and they felt more oily than balmy but as winter is here this is the perfect time to use them.
I’ve never noticed a sweetish taste to lip balms I’ve used in the past, but these supplied a great taste. Due to the hemisphere shape the balm tended to go over the rim of my lips, but as I stated earlier it’s colourless so no harm done. The tubs are portable and easy to find due to their shape and vibrant colours. Overall, I was pleased with this product. I’d certainly use them again and recommend them.
Palmer’s FlipBalms are priced at £4.99.
