The Paul Mitchell Moisture Collection is every dry hair’s dream. It promises to provide intense moisture for the hair whilst softening it and leaving it more manageable. I have been using the Instant Moisture Daily Shampoo, Awapuhi Moisture Mist, Instant Moisture Daily Treatment and the Super-charged Moisturizer.
The Shampoo is suitable for all hair types and colour treated hair. I found that it gave me a lot of suds with a fair amount. It also provided some slip which I was able to use for finger detangling. It did well to cleanse my hair and scalp even when I lathered and rinsed once. My hair felt really soft afterwards and moisturised every time I used it even without a Pre-poo.
The Moisture Mist is probably my least favourite product in the collection, I didn’t like this for my hair at all. I found the moisture it provided wasn’t a lasting moisture: I would spray my hair underneath my protective style in the morning but by mid-day/evening, my hair would feel really dry.
The collection comes with two types of conditioners: the Daily Treatment which is suitable for daily or frequent use and the Super-charged Moisturizer which is an intense treatment and suitable for use once a week. The Daily Treatment made my hair feel very nice and soft and my curls defined. It contains soy proteins and shea butter which helped my hair feel stronger and less breakage. It has a thick consistency but not enough slip.
I prefer the Super-charged Moisturizer over the Daily Treatment. It has an intense smell and a little more slip than Daily Treatment. My hair felt really soft with this and also my curls a little more defined. Overall I like this collection, my favourite products were the Shampoo and the Supercharged Moisturiser which made my hair feel really moisturised and more manageable.
Paul Mitchell Instant Moisture Daily Shampoo is priced at £11.25, the Awapuhi Moisture Mist is
£10.50, the Instant Moisture Daily Treatment at £14.95 and the Super-charged Moisturizer is £16.50.
