I tried the BLOOM – Omega Healthy Hair Oil which has been formulated to gently nourish your scalp without clogging your hair follicles and to provide resistance against breakage. The entire ingredients list is full of an interesting mix of natural oils but the two key ingredients are Organic Thistle Oil and Camelina Seed Oil.

Camelina Seed Oil is a highly moisturising oil which contains a high amount of Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids so it can help to improve the texture and elasticity of your hair. While the thistle oil is a lightweight but penetrating oil which is high in Vitamin F, working on most hair types to smooth and nourish each strand and the scalp.

I loved the fact that a little goes a long way with this oil. I only used two to three pumps each morning to smooth my locs and add a healthy sheen but I soon noticed that my ends appeared to be looking better and stronger after a few weeks. I also used the oil as a leave in conditioner on my wash day and I liked the fact it left my hair really soft and smooth.

As someone who relaxes my hair, I know it is vital to use products that keep it strong in order to avoid any damage and promote hair growth. This oil really does help to prevent breakage and snapping almost immediately after you start using it. The oil can also be used as a shampoo treatment or for use as a hot oil treatment. It’s also vegan friendly and the company says it can be used on natural hair/locs, relaxed hair, colour and chemically treated hair.
