O So Curly
O So Curly was founded in 2016 by curly hair blogger and entrepreneur UK Curly Girl, Shannon Fitzsimmons as a way for the curly hair community to embrace their natural curly hair. Shannon created the brand when she noticed that there were few quality tools for curly women and girls. O So Curly supply a range of multi-coloured staples needed to protect, hydrate, and stimulate natural hair, including satin bonnets, reversible satin pillowcase, spray bottle, curl lover mug, satin scrunchies, limited edition curl lover t-shirts and a scalp massaging brush. These items aim to protect, encourage and stimulate hair growth.
Luxe Bonnet
Luxe Bonnet launched in 2019 founded by Laverne who wanted to add class and elegance to sleep wear by creating satin bonnets with an edge. These bonnets are luxury satin and have statements such as Curl Power, Black Girl Magic, Sexy Mama, Princess and many more.
The Happy Hair Co
The Happy Hair Co was founded in 2018 by Sacha Atherton due to a lack of suitable storage facilities and tools for curly haired women and girls. If you are well versed within the curly hair community, you will know Sasha as a very strong voice in the space. The Happy Hair Co. have a wide variety of products such as head wraps, bonnets, spray bottles, beard protection sets, sleep protection sets, workout and fitness sets.
The Natural Hair Tool Kit
This brand was founded this year by Rae Talks AKA Rachel Akindele - a YouTuber, author, and speaker. She was inspired by women who struggle day in and day out to find the perfect tools for their haircare. Rae wanted to provide Black women with a place where they can get everything they need for their natural hair - from detangling brushes, clips, heat tools to night routine essentials.
The Wig Fix
The Wig Fix is a closure that secures your wig and grow your edges. The brand was founded last May by wig stylist, Aasiya Abdulsalam with the aim to create products that make wearing wigs easier, more realistic and stress-free. Aasiya felt like the beauty industry was experiencing a lot of innovation and the wig industry was being left behind so she set out to help to fill that gap.
Black Sunrise
This brand creates satin lined caps, visors, headbands, and beanies all for natural hair women and men. They are dedicated to creating tools that allow the whole family to protect their natural hair. Combining satin with hats you love, to make your hair journey easier to balance with your lifestyle, the goal is to bring fashion and practicality under brand.
Soul Cap
This brand was founded by two friends, Michael and Toks after noticing Black women struggling to find suitable caps to wear when they went swimming. So they created Soul Cap which is a protective, long lasting swimming cap created specifically for thick curly, kinky, coils, braids or dreadlocks hair and styles. The swimming caps come in four sizes JR, Regular, XL and XXL, as well as multiple colours. There is also a gentle towel that protects curl and reduces friction.
10FT
This brand creates storage boxes that helps you to organise, declutter and take control of your life. The aim is to encourages more conscious buying rather than good ole beauty junkism. Each colourful and stylish product reflects the everyday beauty enthusiast who chooses to inject her routine with confidence and empowerment.
Yeye Mi
Yeye Mi is a handmade, holistic and well-being brand that caters to those interested in afrocentric culture - the prints, patterns and all. The founders were fed up with mainstream beauty standards and products not embracing or encouraging black beauty, so they decided to address it. The result is beautiful hair tools, accessories, satin bonnets and oils that draw on the rich heritage of the African continent.
