Black-Owned Celebrity Hair Brands

Gabrielle Union relaunched her hair brand this week. This adds to the growing list of celebrity hair brands on the market that are really making their mark. We have put together a list of our favourite celebrity hair brands.

Flawless by Gabrielle Union

This is an affordable, moisture-rich collection created by Gabrielle and Larry Sims to celebrate and care for textured hair. Initially founded in 2017, the brand is back better than ever with 12 products. From curls, waves, and coils, to heat styles, braids, wigs, and weaves, there is a Flawless product to support your hair’s needs for brilliance, health, and beauty.

TPH by Taraji

Taraji is best known for her role as the ever so sassy Cookie Lyons on Empire, who seems to rock a different hair style in every episode. She dropped TPH in January and it is inspired by the scalp remedies that she has been creating in her own kitchen. The thing we love about TPH is not only does it focus on making your scalp healthy but also that it is designed for Black women regardless of whether their hair is natural, relaxed, worn in a weave or in braids.

PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross

I think every curly girl rejoiced when Tracee Ellis Ross finally dropped her hair range. Everyone loves Tracee but they really love her hair. Tracee describes PATTERN as 20 years of dreaming and 10 years in the making. She wrote her first brand pitch in 2008 right after the hit TV show, Girlfriends and after two years of working with chemists, and 74 samples later, voila the brand was born.

Kimberly Elise Naturals

Kimberly has been missing for a minute. You might remember her from Set it Off, For Colored Girls and Beloved. She also has an organic hair range called Kimberly Elise Naturals which is for kinky, coily hair.

Kenya Moore Hair

When she is not causing mischief in The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she is busy running her haircare range, Kenya Moore Haircare. The range is designed to grow your real hair longer, stronger and thicker in just one use. There are products for all hair types that are sulfate, phosphate & paraben free.

My Little Coco

We all know Rochelle Hulmes as one fifth of The Saturdays and presenter on This Morning. Well she is also a bit of a beauty entreprenuer on the side. After launching a tanning brand she has also created My Little Coco which is a hair and skincare range for kids. It is made with the simplest and softest of formulas from one mother to another.
