Daddy Do My Hair? Beth's Twists is a new book that celebrates fathers and their relationship with their children. It is the heartwarming story of Beth and her father who bond every Sunday evening while he does her hair.

The book is part of a beautifully illustrated new series created by Tola Okogwu who was inspired by the relationship between her husband and daughter. Tola also drew inspiration from the film, Good Hair by Chris Rock and Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

She is passionate about the natural hair movement and seeks to inspire, educate and empower young girls of colour. She has written for publications such as Black Beauty and Hair magazine and blogs at My Long Hair Journey.
