Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Everyday Foundation was designed bu the brand to revive lacklustre skin, it combines the benefits of a powder and a cream in a bouncy gel formula. This foundation promises to provide medium buildable coverage, yet with a natural looking finish and long wear capabilities.

This product is infused with a blend of antioxidant rich Caffeine, Ginseng and Peppermint oil, alongside hyaluronic acid. The idea is to help combat uneven skin tone and texture, revitalise dull skin to give it a radiant and glowy appearance.

I’m not a massive fan of cream to powder formulas, as I will always powder my foundation regardless, but I was intrigued about the ‘bouncy gel formula’. However it is much more of a cream to powder formula than gel, which initially was a little disappointing.

The first time I tried this foundation I didn’t powder it and still found it emphasised dryness on my skin, but I do have to state that pregnancy had taken my normally combination skin to sahara desert dry. So with subsequent applications of this foundation, I ensured that my skin was appropriately prepared with hydrating skincare and according primers and other glow inducing products.

Once I got this prep down I really enjoyed using the foundation, I had the glow I was after, it didn’t emphasise any dryness and did last really well on the skin. I like that I can control the coverage depending on the application method and tools used, and how much I apply, this foundation can either be used as a light base to run errands, or full glam look to go out in the evenings.

It’s housed in a palm sized black compact, with a mirror under the lid and an applicator sponge stored underneath the actual foundation, which I rarely use as I preferred using brushes with this. It appears there is not a lot of foundation in the compact, it’s 10g and this appears to be typical of other pressed foundations in a similar formula. I have shade Golden Caramel 11, there are 14 shades in total.
