GLAMGLOW YouthMud Tinglefoliate Treatment
I am fond of a good old mud mask because they draw out the impurities from your skin while giving it a deep cleanse. At the same time I never go without exfoliating my skin with a face scrub - this is also a way of reviving your skin and getting rid of dead skin cells. Therefore a face mask that has Volcanic Minerals that gives your face a scrub is new to me.
However, as I am a lady who is up for trying new things I was keen to give GLAMGLOW YouthMud Tinglefoliate Treatment a go. GLAMGLOW was founded in 2010 by husband and wife team, Glenn and Shannon Dellimore and in that short space of time they have made a real name for themselves. The brand was originally created exclusively for behind-the-scenes use in Hollywood but they have become a real favourite amongst celebrities and a staple in the bathroom of all beauty enthusiasts.
Celebrities such as Beyonce, Usher, Jay Z, Rochelle Humes, Jourdan Dunn and Alexandra Burke all swear by it. The products they have in their stables consists of PowerMud Dual Cleanse Treatment, Supermud Clearing Treatment, BrightMud Eye Treatment and ThirstyMid Hydrating Treatment.
I tried the YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment which promises to give you revived and glowing skin. It contains French Sea Clay, Pumice, Green Tea Leaf, Chamomile and Lavender. The first thing that strikes me about YouthMud is the texture - it looks creamy in the jar but when you apply it to the skin you can feel the extracts that are in there. When applying it to my skin I could feel the much talked about 'tingle' which is only slight for those of you who are a bit wary. I left it on for 10 minutes before I washed it off while massaging my face using circular motions.
I have to admit that my skin felt great afterwards, very soft, plump and smooth. My only negative comment is that the grittiness of the YouthMud causes the particles to spread to other areas such as your ears, neck and eyebrows. So you have to be really careful when you wash this off and also be sparse when applying as too much can defeat the objective lead to a lot of wasted time over washing it out.
TheYouthMud to me did feel like I was applying good old dirt to my face, unlike other mud masks that are very smooth this product felt very scratchy, but saying that, the results are worth it. Moreover it contains no artificial colours or fragrances and is 100% paraben-free, cruelty-free, and is suitable for vegans.
I really like this product, I used it on two separate occasions, once for three Sundays in a row and another for two Sundays and it works. I started using it for the second time because my skin needed a real pick up and this gave me exactly that. My skin is greasy/combination and it did not strip oils from my face or leave it overly greasy. This is right up there as one of my favourite face masks and I cannot wait to try the other products in the range.
