Maui Moisture Revive & Hydrate + Shea Butter Collection

I always get excited when I hear about new haircare products, especially when they are curly hair friendly. Maui Moisture caught my eyes last year, on Instagram. I saw the mixed reviews but I wanted to try it myself. I was sent three products from the Maui Moisture Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter range to trial. It was just what my hair needed this winter. Overall, I had good results from the collection.

Maui Moisture is an American haircare brand. They have developed products for various hair types and textures using their signature blend of aloe vera juices infused with pure coconut water.

There are six ranges: Curl Quench + Coconut Oil (for curly hair), Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter (for dry, damaged hair), Strength & Anti-Breakage + Rich Agave (for chemically damaged hair), Smooth & Repair + Vanilla Bean (for frizzy, unruly hair), Thicken & Restore + Bamboo Fibers (for weak, brittle hair) and Nourish & Moisture + Coconut Milk (for dry hair).

I trialled three products from the Heal & Hydrate + Shea Butter range; shampoo, conditioner and hair mask but there are two other products in the range. I loved the packaging. the fragrance and the texture.

Both shampoo and conditioner had a cream pearlized colour with a rich consistency and they cleaned and conditioned my hair very well.  My tresses felt super soft and hydrated and the curls were springy and silky. The hair mask was also rich and it gave my hair extra TLC during the weekend washes.

It can also be used as a leave-in-conditioner which I tried a couple times. The moisture on the bleached ends lasted no longer than a day. Perhaps because my hair is bleached and the mask is rich it was a good fit as a leave-in conditioner. I continued to use it just as a mask.

I enjoyed using Maui Moisture; it was like my bathroom was converted to a tropical paradise. I got my Moana on.

Maui Moisture Revive & Hydrate + Shea Butter Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Mask are priced at £8.99 each. You can find all the ranges at Superdrug.
