Ella Simpson is the Senior Marketing Manager for Condé Nast Britain who publish Vogue and Glamour magazine. You can imagine that she is surrounded by beauty products, she took time out to tell us about the beauty product she cannot live without.

The beauty product I cannot live without is Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. I discovered it in 2017 at my first Vogue House beauty sale. I’d recently started working at Condé Nast and was so overwhelmed. Elbows were flying everywhere and I had no clue what to choose. A colleague flung it my way and said, “try this - it’s AMAZING!” So I did! I didn’t even know what it was for at that point.

I use it twice a day. First thing in the morning after cleansing & toning and then the same again before I go to bed. I only have one bottle of the liquid version (it lasts ages!) but I also have the gel version which I reach for when I’m in a rush. You can just apply it like a moisturiser using your fingers rather than needing a cotton pad. The liquid version is definitely the best though.

I keep it in my bathroom along with all of my other skincare products. I have three shelves dedicated to skincare which are my pride and joy. I repurchase it two or three times a year. You only need a small amount so it’s really good value for money and lasts ages.

I love this product because I had really large pores on my nose which I’d always felt a bit insecure about and this is the first and only product I’ve ever tried which has dramatically minimised them. I mainly focus the product around my nose area because of this, but it also has brightened and evened my skin across my whole face which is an added bonus. I can’t see myself ever removing this from my skincare routine.
