Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette
Urban Decay's Naked Eye Palettes are pretty much a staple in every makeup fan's collection so each release is always met with excitement. And this palette delivers a collection that takes brown eyeshadows to a shimmery new level.
Honey is a mixture of soft mattes and shimmering metallics in 12 Golden Neutral shades full of long-lasting pigment. Named after their iconic Honey shade, you can create looks that are brighter than the sun - without stepping into the neon side of things.
As the campaign images with Lizzo reveal, these shades are gorgeous on darker skin tones. The mix of chocolate brown, classic golds and warm ambers means the collection have a yellow/olive undertone, which is always very flattering brown or hazel eyes.
I feared some of the shades might be a bit too striking and glittery for me but the shimmery shades are subtle at first. Don't worry, they can be built up to full wattage shine when layered - or if you wet the brush before application.
While the famous Honey shade is a super-rich golden yellow that will amp up any look, I was just as obsessed with the matte. As always, the eye shadow formula is soft and super easy to blend and I was happy with how well it stayed on and showed up in a selfie after a very long day at work.
Thankfully Urban Decay understands the need to provide palette brushes that are actually the same quality as the ones they sell separately and I thought it was great to get a brush that is made for blending and smudging their products.
I just love the packaging because it made using the palette feel like I am treating myself a little bit of luxury every time I open it. This is definitely one I'd pack along for a sunshine getaway this - and it's going to be all over my lids in the summer too.
Urban Decay Naked Honey Palette is priced at £42.00.
