You might be familiar with her iconic Jollof t-shirts and Plaintain hoodies. She took time out to tell us about the products in her makeup bag.
Describe the items in your makeup bag.
I’m a NARS fan and have the Cream Concealer, Sheer Glow Foundation, Orgasm Blush, Climax Mascara, Bronzing Powder and Velvet Lip Glide. I smashed my All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in the sink, (cries) so I’m using my old foundation right now. Other than that I use the other main staple which is my L’Oreal Brow Artist Pencil. I’m a creature of habit and when I find something that works I stick to it.
I don’t often wear makeup so when I do it’s either a really simple look of eyebrows, mascara and concealer and powder. If I’m going out I slap on some lippy and a bit of eyeshadow using my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette to complete the look. I like to keep it pretty simple and natural but to be honest anymore than that and I wouldn’t know what to do haha!!
Which is your favourite item in your makeup bag?
Has to be my Pat McGrath Lust Lip Gloss in Earth Angel. It was a birthday present after I was lusting after all my friends' glossy lips. This is what I use when I’m going ‘out out’ and I just feel instantly fab the moment I put it on.
Where did you get your makeup bag?
To be honest, I haven’t had a makeup bag in years. I tend to just put all my makeup in one of the many compartments of my backpack. If need be, I’ll repurpose a small clutch bag I have from Lulu Guinness which also doubles up as a good makeup bag.
