Describe the items in your makeup bag.
Makeup wise I use Laura Mercier Primer and Radiance Perfecting Foundation, after years of trying every single brand to find the perfect foundation, this is amazing, as is the Estee Lauder Double Wear in Amber Honey. I have really thin eyebrows so I use a mix of tattoo eyebrow pencils like the Revlon Colourstay Tint and Kiko’s Eyebrow Pen which I love.
I am currently using Armani Beauty’s Excentrico Mascara which is amazing and I mix in the Sephora Volume On Blue Mascara as it looks great with brown eyes and dark skin. I use the Tarte Double Take Eyeliner which has a pencil one end and a liquid eyeliner the other - which is great for a soft day or evening bolder look.
I am currently obsessed with the Clarin’s Glow to Go Blush and Highlighter in Golden Peach. George Driver from ELLE gave this to me and this is literally the best highlighter for my skin as it really lasts (my skin can get really oily) and I love the blush too. Both just glide on and the gives a glowy and dewy effect.
My go-to lip liner which I have been wearing for about 15 years is the MAC Lipliner in Currant, I use that with either the CTZN Lip Duo in No 6, or Fenty Beauty Lip Paint in Unlocked. Lastly I’m obsessed with the Bare Minerals Moxie Lip Glosses.
Skincare wise I have been using The Ordinary products for years before the hype around them started. I used to work in Beauty PR so I’ve always been into beauty products - and yes the AHA/BHA peeling solution does really work. I get bouts of acne and my skin scars easily so this really helps clear it up and also makes your skin really glow,
I also use the Vitamin C suspension for pigmentation, the Amino Acids B5 Solution for deep hydration and the Ascorbic Acid/Alpha Arbutin for anti-aging and radiance.
Which is your favourite item in your makeup bag?
My Bare Minerals Moxie Plumping Lip Glosses, I have about six of them, they tingle on the lips and make your lips look plumper, I always get comments on them. Sparkplug and Night Owl are the best for dark skin.
Where did you get your makeup bag?
I have a clutch which I think I bought in Mango a couple of years ago. So this doubles up as a travel makeup bag.
