Estee Lauder Perfectionist Foundation
Estee Lauder Perfectionist Foundation is an oil-free, pore battling and fragrance free base that was released by the brand September. This innovative foundation contains an inbuilt serum and is designed to work with your undertones as opposed to against them. It gives you medium coverage but of course it is buildable and you only need a few drops as a little goes a long way. I have to admit this foundation is as light as a feather and simply coats your skin. By the end of the day I did get the the t-zone shine but it is nothing that a good powder can't take care of. Estee Lauder promises you a glow and dewy look and they do not lie because this product makes your face appear radiant.
Not a bad price for £37 for a mid range foundation which puts it on par with Bobbi Brown, Lancome and MAC. The only tricky part is getting the right shade, I was matched up in two different stores and advised to use Amber Honey in one and Sandalwood in another. I think this is due to the fact that Estee Lauder create foundations for different undertones (which is fantastic) and therefore the MUA needs to work out which shade is the right match for your skin. Throw in the artificial lighting in the shop as well as how flushed or pale you are looking at that point in time then you will ultimately end up with different shades.
I was also sent a sample of Rich Cocoa which was also a good match. To be honest there was not much difference between the two shades I was recommended and the one I was gifted by the PR, all three matched my skin. You just need to decide on whether you want a foundation with red, yellow or neutral bases. Do ask for a sample before you commit to the bottle - one was offered to me anyway by the lovely Estee Lauder MUA which gave me three uses.
If you are looking for a good quality liquid foundation that makes your skin look luminous then look no further. In my opinion this is a fantastic foundation.
Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup SPF 25 is available in 22 long-wearing shades.
