Urban Decay Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
I cannot stand using powder on my face after applying foundation. I love the dewy natural look and I don't feel that setting powder allows that., So when everyone kept on raving about the Setting Sprays by Urban Decay I knew I had to try it out. I bought the Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray from the Urban Decay store.
First thing I need to say is that Urban Decay have had a bit of a rebrand and the packaging is lot more cooler resulting in a very stylish bottle which looks very cool on my table. The Setting Spray is described as weightless that gives your makeup serious staying power. It keeps your makeup looking gorgeous for up to 16 hours — without melting, fading or settling into fine lines. The formula is suitable for all skin types, free of oil and parabens. It works by lowering the temperature of your makeup to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush and concealer in place — even in hot and humid, or cold and windy weather conditions.
As suggested I used the Setting Spray after I had applied all my makeup (eyeshadow, foundation and blush) and held the Spray a few feet away from my face while sprayed it on. The texture is wet and light with a smell that is not too offensive. I waited a few minutes for it to set and I was left with a nice smooth texture.
The longevity of this product was pretty good. I hate lugging loads of makeup around so I never carry this with me, so I had to touch up with blotter pads to get rid of the oily T-zone that happened in the afternoon. Ideally I would use this twice a day especially if you are going out in the evening in order to get the full impact. Another option is to buy the mini version which you can throw into your bag.
I really like this product because it is easy to use and very light. At £23.50 it is a bit pricey,; there are a few Setting Sprays out there that are half the price but whether they offer the same quality remains to be see. This is definitely a repurchase for me.
