Tell us about the concept of Flora & Curl
Flora & Curl is a natural, plant-powered haircare brand dedicated to simplifying the routine for people with curly, coily, and wavy hair. Our brand concept revolves around using high-quality botanical ingredients to nourish, hydrate, and enhance natural hair texture in an easy, enjoyable, and sustainable way.
Describe a typical day in your life
During the working week, my mornings usually begin with a walk with my fox red labrador. There’s something quietly special about watching the sunrise on a cold, crisp morning. I head back home for breakfast with my family, then log in to start the day. Somewhere in between, I’ll squeeze in a load of laundry and a bit of cleaning before work properly begins.

I like to keep my make-up routine simple and familiar. The kind of products that live on my make-up table and get used on repeat.
I usually start with Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Concealer, which does exactly what I need without overthinking it. For lips, it’s always a brown lip liner, finished with either a plum-toned oily lipstick or a red-tinted gloss. Easy, flattering, dependable.
When it comes to brows, anything from Benefit works for me. Gimme Brow+ Mini Gel and They’re Real are staples that never let me down.
I love the brushes from KIKO Milano, alongside Bobbi Brown’s Full Coverage Face Brush for foundation and their angled face brush for contour. Also the essentials from Real Techniques always do the job.
To finish, I’ll tap MAC Mineralize Skinfinish onto the corners of my eyes and the tops of my cheeks. Just enough to lift the face without doing too much.
What are your favourite foundations?
I use the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation as my everyday foundation. It applies beautiful and gives me a radiant glow.
Which hair products do you use?
I am currently using the Soothe Me Coconut Mint Scalp Refresh Shampoo and Curl Refresh Conditioner, and I always love styling my hair with the Sweet Hibiscus Twist & Braid Cream after applying the Rose Water Detangling Lotion.
Which skincare products do you use?
To remove my foundation I use the Unveil Oil-to-Milk Cleansing Oil by Kri or my DIY make-up remover blend of jojoba oil, rosehip and Vitamin E. I then follow up with either the Vital Foaming Cleanser by Nuori or the Kale 3D Cleanser by Nourish London. I use hemp seed oil, argan oil or Nourish London’s Argan Peptide Serum, as a night time serum and the Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser by Nourish London for day time nourishment.
How do you think the beauty scene now compares to pre-2020?
I think people are craving simplicity and efficiency. Less clutter, fewer choices, but better quality. Cheaper doesn’t always mean better, and increasingly, people are willing to spend a little more when the experience feels thoughtful, well made and considered. It’s not just about the product anymore, but how it’s delivered, how it makes you feel and the care that comes with it. The customer experience really matters.
